NEXSE coordinates the FP7 PLEASED (PLants Employed As SEnsing Devices) project, and is a member of the Pro-ARTEMIS cast CHIRON (Cyclic and person-centric Health management: Integrated appRoach for home, mobile and clinical eNvironments), of the FP7 VITRO (Virtualized dIstributed plaTfoRms of smart Objects), of the EUROSTARS PHARMAID Project on passive RFID infrastructures for the market pharmaceutical.

META (META) is an SME specialized in advanced technology products and services for communication and engineering of cultural content: websites and portals, applications for devices mobile, multi-media systems for publishing and teaching, integrated solutions for museum, archival and library information technology, solutions and products for Content Document Management, Knowledge Management and Semantic Intelligence.

Phoops (PHOOPS) is an IT company specializing in information security. Its professionals, in collaboration with some important Italian universities, have developed a open source product for analyzing the robustness of network protocols. Parallel to the product, Phoops is able to provide a wide range of IT security services, from black box testing to penetration testing of network infrastructures.

ENVISENS (ENV) is a spin-off of the Polytechnic of Turin, established in 2006, participated by the Polytechnic itself and officially authorized to use their logo. ENVISENS is an engineering company that develops innovative and highly technological solutions in the fields of environmental monitoring and safety with particular reference to sensors and simulators. The company is able to develop prototypes or small and large-scale productions of sensors.

The University of Perugia (UNIPG) through the Department of Engineering (DI) has acquired research experience in the field of enhancement of landscape heritage, which had as its object the design of a capable technological platform to propose "thematic" itineraries based on the specific interests of the user, enriched by information capable of transforming the travel experience into a cultural and environmental experience. The DI has also developed expertise in the field of microwave sensors for the analysis and non-invasive diagnostics of artistic assets. The DI contributes to the project by providing skills in the analysis and development of systems for the planning and use of landscape, environmental and cultural itineraries and in the definition of visualization tools for the analysis of touristic flows.

Sapienza ranks among the world's top 200 universities in the 2023 edition of the QS World University Rankings, and the third nationally. Sapienza has obtained top rankings in 10 disciplines, among which Computer Science and Information Systems. Sapienza participates in the SMARTOUR project with two Computer Science Departments, the Dipartimento di Informatica (DI) and Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica e Gestionale Antonio Ruberti (DIAG) which have been both nominated by the Italian Ministry of University and Education "Department of Excellence" during the period 2018-2022. Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) is the largest public research institution in Italy, the only one under the Research Ministry performing multidisciplinary activities. Founded as legal person on 18 November 1923, CNR’s mission is to perform research in its own Institutes, to promote innovation and competitiveness of the national industrial system, to promote the internationalization of the national research system, to provide technologies and solutions to emerging public and private needs, to advice Government and other public bodies, and to contribute to the qualification of human resources.

The Politecnico di Torino contributes to the project through various departments involved and by putting in various fields specializations. In particular, the Department of Environmental Engineering of the Territory and Infrastructures has specific skills in the field of creating 3D models and numerical maps from data acquired with mobile platforms (terrestrial and aerial). The Department of Arch. And Design has specific skills in identifying Be cultural nes through the acquisition and processing of photogrammetric and LiDAR data. The Interuniversity Dept. of Territorial Sciences, Project and Policies (DIST) contributes with skills in the geometric and radiometric knowledge of the Cultural Heritage and, in the monitoring of sites protected by UNESCO and in the management of emergencies that may interact with the cultural and environmental heritage.
